Espresso Mio
"Don't come here. This is my favorite place to work.In all seriousness, I love Espresso Mio. It's in a quiet little neighborhood. It's a tiny coffee shop, but it's a great place to crank out some work. In fact, I wrote 80% of my thesis here... and I don't live in San Diego. The only, only downfall to this place is the availability of power. There is virtually no power plugs. The one that's available requires you to run your cord across the floor. In fact, I saw a laptop take a digger a few years ago. So fill up your battery before.Otherwise, there's plenty of parking in front. Places to sit after the morning rush. They are open until, oh, 5pm.. but that's not always the case. It's usually pretty quiet in here, so again, it's a great place if you're looking to concentrate a little bit and write or type or read. Coffee and tea and all that. Some pastries and such as well"

It is with great sadness that Espresso Mío is no longer here. They moved to the nursery down the way, but it’s now an outdoor “kiosk” style location. My heart is broken.
