How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?
My business, Coffee Lunch Coffee, is all about connecting people. I strive to help people build better, more meaningful professional connections. Over the years, I ‘ve discovered the best way to do that is face-to-face, 1:1 conversations. No better way to make that happen than over a cup of one’s favorite beverage or breaking bread together. That’s how it happened!
Do you still work remotely?
Yes! I’m a big fan of coffee shops, cafes… even my bank and the public library!
What do you do for work and for fun?
Interact with people. Offer training. Connect.
What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?
Kansas City is my home town, but I travel quite a bit. My business is connecting people. My office is whichever coffee shop will have me that day! I love finding and giving my business to coffee shops, cafes, restaurants that support entrepreneurs and mobile workers.
How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?
Honestly… don’t know how I stumbled upon Workfrom, but I’m excited to see it gain traction in my city. There are so many people working for themselves and/or working remotely. This is a fabulous solution.
Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?
When you frequent someplace often and see the same peole hanging out there… say hello! Introduce yourself. Become part of the community of that location.
Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?
Loads of good locally owned cafes to check out… be sure to tell ’em you’re visiting from out of town. Have them show you around!
What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?
Easily accessed locations in cities around the country. Ability for users to easily add new locations. Text alerts if I am near recommended locations.
