How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?

I applied for a position with the Special Olympics Kansas and ended up getting the job. When they offered me the job, they asked if I wanted them to rent out a office space for me or if I’d like to work remotely. I’ve never once thought working remotely was the wrong decision.

What do you do for work and for fun?

I direct events for Special Olympics Kansas. For fun, I play with my dogs and listen to podcasts.

I stumbled upon it. I’ve been kind of looking for a community.

Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?

I think that you really have to be responsible. You get to basically be your own boss.

Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?

In Wichita, there aren’t many small/cute coffeeshops to go to. There are the usually Starbucks and one Barnes & Noble but they do get busy.
