How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?

Working remotely is something I stumbled into while on a path to returning to school. I moved to Colorado and am planning on attending the Univ. of CO while continuing to work full time.

What do you do for work and for fun?

I am an IT project leader with a focus on financial reporting.
For fun, I love the outdoors, sporting events, reading, Netflix binges

How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?

I don’t remember exactly where, but I’m sure it was in an article listing recommended apps for productivity of remote workers.
I really like the concept. I know there are days when I’m working at home and there is nearly zero human interaction. Sometimes it is much more motivating to be in an environment where people are around, but not necessarily a major distraction. Hopefully I can help others find ways to be more productive, too.

Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?

It takes a lot of focus and drive in your job to work remotely. It is not easy (I’ve run into slumps).
For those who want to work remotely, you have to consider the structure of your current job and determine if it is a viable option. In my situation, I was always on the phone with people in different cities, so as long as I had access to the phone and WiFi, I was all set.

Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?

If you travel to Colorado, Denver will provide the most options of locations to work from (coffee shops, etc.). Colorado Springs and Boulder are your next best options. Just know it will be tough with those snow covered mountains calling to you all day 🙂

What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?

With others submitting their recommendations on places to work, it helps broaden my options (whereas I may have only found/known of 1-2 places).
I think that’s what I’m hoping for the most — growth of the app overall to expand on the places available in all the cities you operate in.
