Pioneer Q & A
How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?
I was a teacher for 8 years, but in 2010 I took a dramatic turn into the world of marketing. I started freelancing for 3 years, and I’ve since joined an agency that still allows me the freedom and flexibility to work and travel.
Do you still work remotely?
What do you do for work and for fun?
I am a marketing strategist for an inbound marketing agency in CA. For fun, I love to explore, cook, learn, read, and immerse myself in new experiences.
What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?
Sacramento, CA is my home, but I love to travel. I’m on the East Coast quite a bit, and I also just love to work all around Northern CA, too.
How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?
I found it through a simple Google search when looking for a coffee shop with great wifi.
Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?
Do it. Learn how to make it work. It will change your life and your pace and your perspective. You’ll meet fascinating people along the way, too.
Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?
Talk to me. I’ll tell you where to go and what time of day and where to park, etc. Sacramento is a great place for remote work.
What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?
I haven’t had an opportunity to use it a ton yet, but I love the concept. Last I checked it wasn’t really completed and only had info for certain locations. Can’t wait until it’s got a broader selection of locations.
