How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?

Working remotely is a life style (for some people), even there are studies that recommend it, on crowded cities is understandable because of the traffic jams, the rush hours, the weather … you name it, to me it was like basic mathematics at the moment I decided to go full freelance on the IT field web environment, the place was not an issue, the only thing I needed to work, besides the creativeness, knowledge and other soft skills, was my laptop and an internet connection … the illumination, noise, crowd, food, beverages (coffee!), convenience and temperature (A/C!) are features not at all necessary but are plus to the chosen place(s) to work … on the other hand there is the freedom!, not attachments to physical places but only to the compromises and responsibilities of the work; having said that, workfrom.co is a nice and pretty liked tool for freelancers, an other remote workers on constant movement, in order to find nice places to “work from”, thanks people!

Do you still work remotely?

Not like I was 2 years ago, but from time to time besides working from home, I loved to visit (known and new) places to do my stuff.

What do you do for work and for fun?

For work I do web development, I’m a web consultant, so anything related with the field, from scripting to code and infrastructure analysis and IT project management is what I do for living; for fun I do social media, not exactly for the interacting and meeting people but because of the back stages / behind the scenes engagement with people via web and mobile tools and platforms, that social graphs and relationships are very interesting to me … besides social media, I do running, cycling, and other HIIT activities on the fitness side of the movie.

What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?

Panama City (and I’m not talking about Florida, USA, but Panama City in Central America), will be the place where I live, with my wife, but, both of us are from the countryside, she’s from Chitre (Herrera), and I am from David (Chiriqui), so these 3 places would be my/our home city places. Why would I want to be a WorkFrom abmassador?, I think this is an amazing platform most for freelancers like me (freelancer like main or side business activity) to find (new) places to work from and to let know to the community about them, at the end of the day is the community that gives (part of the) strength to our growth.

How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?

… as I said before, I didn’t find a powerful tool like this in order to find places to work from

Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?

Organization (prioritize what you have #todo) is the key! (among other ones) … fighting against the procrastination is a day-to-day task, separate your personal life from work, finding a clean and specific place to work is a must!

Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?

This is Panama!, besides a growing coworking movement, and more freelancers coming up, there are a lot of interesting features to take advantage for your business to grow!

What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?

I’m new to this, so I’m still learning how to get the most of the platform, for instance, I’m still looking for my city (country) to appear in the cities’ list for places to visit to #workfrom, but among others similar platforms I’ve seen this is it!

What would I like to see in the future?, an app, but I’ve seen you are already working on it, so congrats!
