How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?

I stumbled into it. I worked for a company in San Diego at their headquarters for 2 years before deciding to move to Seattle, WA. At the time of the move their was a small office here. A few months after I moved, the office was downsized and closed leaving only 2 of us here to work from home.

Do you still work remotely?

Yes

What do you do for work and for fun?

I’m a front-end web developer

What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?

I call Seattle, WA home and I work remotely every day for a company in San Diego, CA. I get tired of working from home every day, so I’m constantly on the hunt for great coffee shops to work in.

How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?

I was searching google for a list of best coffee shops to work from in the Seattle Area.

Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?

Get out as much as possible. Interact with other people. Go to meetups. Set up a dedicated workspace away from your living space at home for days when you can’t leave home. Have reliable internet and phone connections for meetings.

Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?

I prefer the neighborhood shops as opposed to those in the city. The parking is much better and they tend to be quieter.
