How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?

I would say stumbled as I have been doing freelance graphic design for a company that I would go into the office and then they said I could work remote sometimes so I took advantage of that and the rest is history.

Do you still work remotely?

Yes I work remotely both for profit and for myself with my artwork stuff as well.

What do you do for work and for fun?

Graphic design is work and digital illustration, animation, and comics are my for fun work. As well as drawing, playing video games, reading, exploring, and learning are my regular fun activities.

How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?

I ran a search on Google for best cafes to work from in Chicago and it led me here. I want to bring it here/make it better known as my friends and I do cafe workdays all the time and it seems like a really handy tool to utilize to find new spots to enjoy while working.

Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?

Take full advantage of it and get to know your neighborhood and city better. You never know who you will meet or what you will try and enjoy while getting work done. Adventure is out there.

Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?

There are a plethora of cafes around the city in great neighborhoods to explore. Chicago is one of the easiest cities to navigate in the world and the public transit system here will get you to any cafe you want to work from. While the food in Chicago is great the local coffee roasters are just as great and will for sure impress you while you work.

What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?

Starting off Workfrom seems pretty intuitive and user friendly. The information on each cafe is handy. As it has only been a day or two for my membership on this site I will have to get back to you on what I would like to see here.
