Pioneer Q & A
How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?
Good coffee and atmosphere immensely increase my productivity
Do you still work remotely?
Yes
What do you do for work and for fun?
Formerly a product manager in tech and later an independent coffee shop owner (no joke), I now write for a living, and I write some more for fun. I’m also in the process of building several online platforms with nothing but my laptop. Additionally, photography has been my long-time hobby. It’s nice to be able to self-supply photos for my articles.
What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?
London, San Francisco, and Seattle. One of my secret missions is to scout out as many cozy independent coffee shops as I can, and I’m happy to share my finds.
How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?
If I remember correctly, I first came across Workfrom via an article on a website that I frequent. I believe it was TechCrunch? And again, I enjoy sharing my cool finds, and supporting the digital nomad community.
Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?
Having your work on the cloud one way or another significantly increases your flexibility in terms of work locations
Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?
Don’t spend all day working inside a coffee shop. Make sure you set aside time to go out and explore. It’s a good way to recharge, too.
What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?
I like how it’s built upon community inputs, while having adequate verifications from owners and others.
