How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?
half and half – half of the workforce in the company I work for is remote, the other half is onsite. After working onsite for about three years I asked if it was ok for me to relocate, and they said yes! So I bought a ticket from Edinburgh to Malaga, and here I am 🙂
What do you do for work and for fun?
I work as project and account manager for a Scottish mobile agency. I love travelling, hiking and playing the same chords over and over pretending to be a rockstar
What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?
Malaga, because I moved here a few months back, I work remotely full time, and I’d love to get to know more ‘nomads’ in the area!
How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?
googlegooglegoogle – I think remote working doesn’t necessarily mean working in isolation!
Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?
get out! sometimes I find myself so sucked up into my 9-6(?) routine that I forget there is a world out there to be discovered and enjoyed! that’s why most people decide to work remotely in the first place, isn’t it?
Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?
plenty of coffeeshops around here!
What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?
I just joined so I can’t really say what I like and what I dislike yet! I think it provides a great opportunity for ‘digital nomads’ to meet, and creates a sense of community that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.
