How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?

I started working remotely during a time I was transitioning between jobs, so it’s something I stumbled into. I was bored and unmotivated working and applying for jobs at home!

Do you still work remotely?

I now have a fulltime job, but I still go to coffee shops occasionally in the evenings and on weekends to work on my side projects. I also started a community for local women to meet up together and do the same!

What do you do for work and for fun?

I’m a site editor at a major tech company by day. By nights and weekends, I’m a foodie and blogger, and seeker-outter of new and under-the-radar restaurants throughout the city. I also love antiquing and thrifting.

What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?

Chicago

How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?

It’s hard to pinpoint where I first came across Workfrom. I’m constantly connected to social at all parts of the day, and I’m entrenched in the Chicago tech community.

I want to help people who are transitioning to new opportunities to have new environments to do so, and to meet others who are doing the same.

Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?

N/a

Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?

Ask a local (or me) for their recommendations!

What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?

The Workfrom website is very clean, attractive and easy to navigate. I’d like to see additional spots in the Chicago section, and to even include coworking spaces.
