Pioneer Q & A
How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?
After years working hospitality management and traveling in my free time I shifted into writing content for others and now myself. I am starting up a site showcasing affordable living options for remote workers living abroad.
What do you do for work and for fun?
Writing and photography while living in two very “liveable” cities.
What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?
Vancouver, Puerto Plata I’d love to help others find spaces to roam.
How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?
Heard about your site from other remote workers and with my background in hospitality, it seems natural to help spread the word.
Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?
Be mindful of the spaces you are using. Buy things and support their efforts. Don’t hog space if they are busy. Be aware of rush times and be prepared to “stretch your legs” for 30 minutes if they need your space.
Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?
Vancouver has so many great spaces. Be sure to check out what your area has to offer.
What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?
I love the ability to search by city for places to spend the day. The ability to share WiFi passwords is great. No need to disturb busy staff for it. Also, the Conversations feature is great.
