How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?

After spending a year in an investment banking office during college, I decided offices weren’t for me. When I graduated I continued my part time work as a freelance web developer and consultant and have grown from there.

What do you do for work and for fun?

Work: front-end web development
Fun: Travel, I’ve just finished a three month drive from San Francisco to NYC

What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?

Liverpool, New York City

How did you find out about Workfrom and why do you want to bring it to your area?

I’ve been using WorkFrom a lot while I’ve been location independent. It makes it much easier to find a spot. I want to bring it to cities I know well as they’re pretty sparse right now!

Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?

Wanting to: Just apply to some remote jobs, it’s easier than you think to completely change your lifestyle
Already working remotely: Make sure you attend lots of events, it can get pretty lonely if you just sit at home all day every day.

Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?

In Liverpool there’s a lovely pay by the minute spot on the docks called Ziferblat, unlimited food and drinks included in your minutely price.

What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?

The peace of mind that I can always find somewhere to work.

I’d like a much much easier way to add new locations, the current system, particularly trying to upload photos is very clunky and has meant that I’ve missed scouting a few places.
