How did you start working remotely? Was it something you sought out or stumbled into?

I worked as a magazine editor for four years and the job was largely remote. We had weekly editorial meetings in coffee shops around Denver, but I worked from home and the road most of the time. In 2015, I left and committed to freelancing and growing my media brand full time.

What do you do for work and for fun?

Media production, writing, snowboarding, travel, camping, backpacking, play in a punk band that travels on and off

What cities do you call “home” and why do you want to be a Workfrom ambassador?

I live in Denver but travel often. I want to be an ambassador because I love sharing too work spots and host a number of networking events. I recently became the Denver host for Flylancer and would love to include Workfrom in our events. I’d like to plug Workfrom in my newsletter, blog articles, and other media as well. Check out my portfolio at timwenger.net. I produce content for a number of top travel bloggers and media sites including Zero To Travel, Matador Network, Travel With Bender, etc. – love to involve you guys whenever I can. Thanks!

Any tips you’d like to share for others wanting to or already working remotely?

Build your self discipline and follow through on the things you say you’re going to do.

Any tips for those wanting to visit and work from your area?

Drink plenty of water. Be prepared to get outside and out the laptop down because it’s impossible to experience Colorado without getting into the mountains.

What do you like most about Workfrom, and what would you like to see above all else come from us in the next year?

I love the WiFi speed testing. I also am a big fan of the tips, and specific info about locations. I’d love to see this app become even more interactive and streamlined.
