I’ve had a lot of conversations about Wi-Fi networks since starting workfrom.co. Many have centered around upload and download speeds (which we currently feature on Work From). Others have been focused more on latency, responsiveness and security. Quite a few have explored the hardware involved and the broader networking across neighborhoods and cities. These have all fascinated me in one way or another and I’ve learned we all have different needs when it comes to the capabilities of a Wi-Fi network when working remotely.
In addition to upload and download speeds, we’ve begun to aggregate many details about the networking of the locations we feature. We have a theory that this data will help us remote workers build a stronger picture of our options when choosing a place to work. We also think this data can be used to help establishments make better decisions around the connected experience they offer.
