Songbird Coffee & Tea House

Workability Rating

"Comfy, quiet location right off of the arts district in downtown Phoenix (Roosevelt Row). Very bikeable, lots of options for tea-drinkers, more mellow/quiet atmosphere for intense focus. Lots of power in front room near bottom of bench seating."

I agree. This is a cute little place in a trendy arts district just north of the primary downtown area (at least it feels that way). There’s a lot of little eclectic shops and restaurants in this area and it’s worth exploring around a little. Looks like a small house was retrofitted to become a coffee shop. Ah, reminds me of my college days in Fargo. Anyway, there’s some standing work/bar spots, a few two person tables, and in the back there’s a couch that looks comfy. Lots of yard-style outdoor seating, but because it’s approaching 120 degrees, I’ll stick to the indoor seats. They have some books and games for you if working on your presentation becomes a distraction. It’s a short walk to get here from the Sheraton near the conference center, and it’s worth the short walk.
