The Trie Café
"In The Cloisters there's a cafe in one of the outdoor courtyards. It's a little cart with basic espresso and overpriced sandwiches, but the location is divine. 15 tables overlook a tiny garden and fountain. Come here for quiet work on a summer afternoon. Awesome for reading. Take a walk in the surrounding Fort Tryon Park afterwards for beautiful gardens and views of the Hudson.Note that this is part of The Cloisters museum so there is donation-based entry (you can pay as little as you like). They also force you to check your bags at the entrance, so you have to carry your stuff by hand to the cafe itself."
