Amazon AWS Loft in NYC is an awesome place. It’s literally a loft with cool furniture, lots of plugs, fast internet, free drinks and snacks. If you don’t need a private office and just want to crunch down on your computer around a bunch of other brilliant minds, this place will give you that freedom. No catch. I have caught a free lunch three times here.
Cons:
-Noise from other people is generally a non-issue but often the music in the loft is loud enough for the people on a phone call to hear. They installed overhead padded booths in the back of the loft but it’s not ideal as you have to stand with no place to rest your computer for the call.
-Occasionally there will be Events or days that the space is closed to coworking but all this can be found on its website.
My work away from home. Amazon support is on hand to help with projects. The coffee and snacks are provided for free. The networking is inspiring. It’s moderately quiet and with interesting music. On nice days, the back patio is open. Plenty of outlets and room to work. Clean bathrooms and great staff.
You must have an Amazon AWS account to use the space and check-in daily using your AWS credentials.
