It’s worth noting that there appear to be a *number* of different atmospheres here at the Boston Public Library. The area near the café is rather loud and open, but you can also find spots surrounded by books that are practically silent. I’m currently sitting amongst a widely-spaced row of desks (each with its own pair of outlets) overlooking the entryway, with high ceilings above making for a dull murmur of nonspecific sounds – perfect for attending a remote meeting without feeling like I’m bothering my neighbors.
