Hija Mia Coffee Roasters

Workability Rating

"Small, local spot in Manila that isn't really on the map at the moment. Cool guy from NZ that runs it, he also owns Ivy Hostel in Medellin. Their main business is wholeselling their beans ready roasted, so you can get a good brew here."

Smelled like roasted coffee all afternoon (which is really nice but my clothes smelled too afterwards haha). I like that they leave the door open which makes you feel like it’s a semi-open space. I didn’t notice any big noise coming from the street, but the proximity with other tables did make it a bit difficult for me to focus on my work when people were chatting (but if you have better headphones/earphones than mine, you shoud be fine ! ;))
