Pro Tips

Sorta secret place to get a Chicago Loop window office with a view. This Pret in the Merchandise Mart mostly serves the lunch counter fare to the Merch Mart office crowd. But the back of this location has a bank of windows with a sweeping view of the Chicago river, the Well street bridge, and the river skyline.

The venue is larger than its customer base so seating is nearly always available, whether group tables, booths, or even couches. 12p-1p the busiest. Atmosphere is trendy with bright hardwood and sunlight.

Power outlets are scarce and the wifi is won't support heavy load, but it's workable and VPN access isn't blocked so you've got access to the home office. Dark and light roast coffee, refillable from self-serve.
