The Garden Court
"It's a hotel lounge, but with a great atmosphere. Live music (piano + cello), vibrant natural light from above, and a mixture of sofas and tables. Outlets are available practically everywhere. Wifi is gated, but as long as you buy some sort of beverages (tea? cocktail? coffee?), you should be fine."

The spectacular surroundings make this gem one the best “offices” in the city, period ::: except during large tradeshows::: , when the Garden Court often gets roped off. Otherwise, this is my first choice for working downtown for a few hours. Tip the waiters if you’re not going to buy anything.
