Ford Food and Drink

Workability Rating

"Great natural light, outlets under the window bar tables, beer and wine options with happy hour, wide variety of seating with wooden chairs, a couch, some lounge chairs and standing desks. Bike parking and bus stop out front, small parking lot in the back and free parking on nearby residential streets. Live music on most Monday evenings, poetry readings on the weekends and occasional book releases and other events on other nights. Discover more on their calendar of events."

Full menu available all day for those of us that like breakfast for lunch (or lunch for breakfast). First refill of house coffee is free, second refill is $1. Wifi is good now.

Here mid afternoon on a Wednesday. There’s a handful of us working here. WiFi is solid. Music isn’t too loud, but loud enough to make a work call more challenging. This space has many different types of seating, food, snacks and even drinks (alcoholic). Something here for everybody.

  • Check the calendar of events before you come. When there is live music, it is loud to the point where you wouldn’t be able to hear someone across the table from you, much less a phone call with headphones. I even walked pretty far around the corner, to the gallery, but it reverberates. Great happy hour, though!

  • I’ve been a regular here for four years – good place to work if you get here early enough, but it’s loud – you should pack headphones if you need to get your head down into some code, and be warned for phone calls – it gets loud in here. Great space though, lots of light, lots of power. GREAT staff. Note about the wifi password – it’s “24” not “42” as noted previously.

Wifi password is 24bananas now not 42

They’ve almost definitely updated their wifi speed. I got 56up / 10down this morning.

  • bellenoelle

And they have a/c – quite a perk right now in 102-degree heat. 🙂

    • Bingo!

  • I wonder if they’ve upgraded their connection or router as I’ve been a few times this past month and never had connection or speed issues.

  • Bring your book, but don’t bring your laptop. Up/down speeds are both under 1 Mbps.

    • Wifi was adequate today. 10Mbps up, 8Mbps down.

    • I wonder if they’ve upgraded their connection or router — I’ve been a
few times this past month and never had connection or speed issues.

    • getting 20/6 today.
