Bare Bones Cafe +3

Workability Rating

"Tables are mostly used for dining on weekends. Plenty of outlets. Typically easy to find a table, even over lunch during weekdays. Right off bus line and free on-street residential parking.."

This place is fantastic. Few places have: outlets + more than just pastries + big tables for group meet ups + low key enough where you don’t feel bad camping out at a prime table for a while.
Also, their biscuits & gravy is A+++

  • Love this place !

  • Food is great! Love a place with good coffee AND good food for those marathon design stretches.

  • They have real sugar sodas in the bottle! The reasonably priced breakfast sandwich and a Dr Pepper is the best meal ever.

  • Internet is fast, coffee is hot. At 2PM you can go next door to the pub and play pool, pinball, foosball, or shuffle board.

This is the best place, in my opinion, to get work done in the SE. Lot’s of space, not cramped in (like most cafe’s), good internet, and beer when you need it. Nothing like coming in on a cold, rainy Portland morning for some coffee and biscuits, and doing some design work – – especially when Joah puts on some jazz music.

    • Totally seconded! One of my absolute favorite places. A very friendly staff and laid-back atmosphere. I should really be paying these people rent – that is how much I’m here.

  • Lots of tables, a good amount of outlets and yummy food.

  • I love this place, but the WorkFrom wifi network (WorkFromWifi) has been down for several days…is it still a thing?

  • TreeCasiano

I love this spot. The staff is friendly, the food is quite good, and they have plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians.

Love that this place is open until 9 pm. They have plenty to satisfy your hunger and the folks working here are always super nice. FYI the bar next door has WiFi too!
