Cup & Bar

Workability Rating

"They have 2 WiFi networks: CAB and CAB_5G (both with the same password). Network is known to be finicky and you're not guaranteed the ability to connect. Garage door opens in nice weather for an outside experience. Free parking lot in the back, on the corner of MLK and Davis. Get the Cold Fashioned--like an Old Fashioned but with cold brew instead of whiskey--and the Ranger cookie, made with Ranger chocolate."

Here for a large meet up and impressed with both the wifi and how easy it is to grab a coffee.

Today the wifi seems just fine. I’ve been reluctant to work from here often because the wifi has not been reliable historically. That said, today is just fine and there are about six others here getting work done as well.

The WiFi has been spotty at best the past few times I’ve visited. Others have experienced the same 🙁

  • just checked in and it took me 4-EVAH as, per the own words of the Baristas here, their WiFi is “spotty” at best, and “maybe it’ll connect/maybe not” (their words, not mine). i don’t suggest scheduling further meet-ups here until the WiFi situation changes. In 2017, how hard is it for a merchant to get decent WiFi in an establishment??

This is my 2nd time visiting in a week and both times their WiFi has been DOWN. Their two networks appear … but you can’t connect to them. I chatted with a few other folks working here on their laptops and they’re all connected to “xfinity”. I asked the barista and he simply shrugged … doesn’t even know where the router is so can’t reboot it. Sadly going to have to take this out of my “reliable places to work” category as the xfinity connection isn’t as great here as in some locations making it a tether-only spot.

    • I also have had problems twice now with their wifi. xfinitywifi seems to work ok, but I definitely don’t like using it.

  • they have indoor bicycle parking. INDOOR BICYCLE PARKING. Seriously, there are racks up front, some more back by the roaster too. Wifi is CAB / dirtycharlie.
